1999 Almgren Relay Race Results (May 9, 1999)

The Princeton team 'A' has repeated as winners of the Fred Almgren memorial "Mayday" race trophy. They beat the Rutgers team 'A' by about 3 minutes. There were six teams competing this year, four from Princeton and two from Rutgers.
The results are tabulated below :

    This year, the race was extended by 0.6 miles, to end at Alexander Road in Princeton. After the race, all the teams enjoyed a picnic at the new park at Alexander Road in Princeton. Our thanks to the Princeton Math Department for sponsoring this year's picnic!

    This year, there were a lot of unusual locations for the relay points. The access point at DeMott Lane, created around 1990, was used by most teams. Perhaps the most unusual relay point was Milepost 31-13, about 0.8 miles from the nearest access point.
